Cheese Brothers: A Tradition of Exceptional Cheese since 1919

We, Eric Ludy and Gene Graf, co-founders of Cheese Brothers, are two passionate cheese enthusiasts from Wisconsin. Our journey began with a deep-rooted family heritage in cheesemaking, dating back to 1919 when Eric's great-grandfather, Swiss cheesemaker Fred Ludy, started the family's first cheese factory in Wisconsin.

Our cheese-making process remains true to the traditional methods, with a few modern advancements in equipment. The milk is carefully sourced from small family farms in Wisconsin, and our cheese makers add the necessary cultures to form the curd. Any seasonings used are always natural and simple, never artificial. The cheese is then pressed into blocks and allowed to cure, sometimes for several months or even years for the aged varieties. Finally, the cheese is cut, wrapped, labeled, and shipped directly to your door.

What sets our products apart is the commitment to quality and authenticity. None of our cheeses are ever processed or artificial in any way – just good, old-fashioned Wisconsin cheese.
